The biggest change I feel I need to make is simple.
Stop. Breathe. Think. Then speak.
I’ve spent years speaking too fast — almost panicked — saying whatever comes first.
Not out of malice. Out of speed.
Now I’m learning a different way: slow and steady.
Breathing before I speak. Breathing while I speak.
That breath becomes a reminder: I don’t need to rush. I don’t need to prove anything. I can be calm. I can choose my words.
This feels like the gateway habit.
If I can slow my speech, I can slow my life.
And when I slow, I’m closer to my best self.
