Neil Wormsley, founder of Respect Love Feel

I split my time between the UK and Morocco, focusing on building a calmer, more grounded way of living through discipline, movement, reflection and thoughtful work.

Respect Love Feel grew naturally from that path.

Part of that path has involved a profound change in my own life. After years of struggling with my relationship with food, I underwent gastric bypass surgery and lost around 85 kilograms. The surgery created the conditions for change, but the deeper transformation came from turning my old relationship with food—and the story I had built around it—on its head.

That experience showed me how powerfully the mind can convince us that our internal narrative is fixed: that this is simply who we are, that we cannot change, or that we will always return to the same patterns. I lived inside that story for years. Then I lived through its collapse.

I came through that experience without a new set of rigid answers or prewritten views about how life should be lived. What I gained was something quieter and stronger: the knowledge that change is possible.

There is a difference between believing you can change and knowing that change is possible because you have lived through it yourself. Once that certainty becomes real, many of the limits that once seemed fixed begin to loosen.

Not everything is easy. Not everything is within our control. But far more may be possible than the voice inside us has learned to believe.

Respect Love Feel began with my own need to reconnect—to soften the noise, listen more closely to my body and mind, and find a more honest way of meeting life. Not perfectly, and never as a finished person, but by continuing to return to what matters.

The philosophy behind Respect Love Feel is simple: we do not always need to become someone else. Often, we need to reconnect with who we already are.

My hope is to help as many people as possible make that connection for themselves—to feel more at home in their bodies, understand their own minds, reduce unnecessary stress and distraction, and meet each day as well as they can.

My focus is on:

  • improving the connection between body and mind
  • reducing noise, pressure and distraction
  • moving with greater awareness
  • treating ourselves and others with more respect and love
  • building honest, useful and sustainable projects
  • writing slowly, without pretending to have everything worked out

I do not write from above the path or from a place of having all the answers. I write from within it—sharing what I notice, what helps, what challenges me and what continues to bring me back to myself.

Much of my writing begins as short reflections shared publicly on Nostr—a decentralised network where thoughts and ideas can be explored openly.

You can follow those thoughts here:

Some of those short notes eventually grow into the longer reflections shared on this site. Others remain simple thoughts from a particular moment.

There is no rush.

Just the path.

Slow and steady. 👣
