This Is Life
A simple phrase I have heard many times from my Moroccan friends is:
“This is life.”
At first it can sound casual.
But over time, I have come to understand the depth in it.
It does not mean give up.
It does not mean pretend things are fine.
It does not mean hardship does not matter.
It means life contains all of it.
The good days.
The difficult days.
The old stories.
The internal battles.
The moments when the mind starts to spiral and everything feels heavier than it really is.
We all carry something.
Some people carry grief.
Some carry stress.
Some carry regret.
Some carry pressure.
Some carry stories they rarely speak about.
This is life.
But the story does not have to define the whole day.
That is the part I keep coming back to.
When the mind starts creating drama, I try to return to something simple.
Feel the feet.
Take one long breath.
Move the body gently.
Step outside if possible.
Walk.
Soften the shoulders.
Reset.
Not to escape life.
To meet it better.
One step at a time.
One small reset.
One honest return to the body.
We do not always get to choose what arrives in life.
But sometimes we can choose how we meet the next moment.
With a little more respect.
A little more love.
A little more feeling.
This is life.
And today can still be met gently.
Slow and steady. 👣
Reconnection through movement
At the heart of Respect Love Feel is a simple idea: the body and mind are not separate. When we move gently, breathe more fully and bring awareness back into the body, the mind often begins to settle too. Reconnection through movement is about using simple daily movement, small resets and natural body awareness to reduce stress, restore ease and return to a calmer, more grounded way of living.
